Looking to get out of Waikiki for lunch or dinner?  Look no further than Moku Kitchen, located in the Salt Disctrict of Kaka'ako.    Moku, the Hawaiian word for island, is a unique blend of locally sourced ingredients and a country esthetic in an urban environment.  Chef Peter Merriman's menu features a variety of hand crafted local favorites.  Many of of these dishes are prepared on Moku's large open flame rotisserie oven.  

They also feature a full bar with wine, beer, and craft cocktails.  

Vegan and Vegetarian options are also available.

There are only a handful of options to choose from, but there is something for everyone.  One of our favorites is the Shrimp Deviled Eggs.  If you're trying to stay on the lighter side, try the Szechuan Stir-Fry Green Beans With Mac Nuts.  All appetizers range in price from $10 to $18.   

Choices for lunch and dinner can be broken down into three categories.  There is salad and greens, hand tossed pizzas and entrees.  You can add a choice of protein to any salad for an additional charge.  If you're in the mood for pizza, nothing says Hawaii like Moku's Kalua Pork and Pineapple Pizza! The entree menu features burgers, tacos and saimin.  Our hands down favorite is the Sautéed Ahi.  This comes with jalapeno mashed potatoes which are to die for!  All dishes range from $11 for the cheapest salad, up to $31 for the Ahi.   

The bar features wine by the glass or bottle, several craft beers on tap, spirits, and signature craft cocktails.  Many of the draft beers are locally brewed right here on Oahu. 

If you are in the mood for a sweet craft cocktail, go with the Monkeypod Mai Tai.  Mai Tai's are iconic to Hawaii and Moku's is among the best! 



Moku Kitchen is a chef-driven concept that brings Hawaii’s rich upcountry farming and ranching heritage to downtown Honolulu’s urban lifestyle. The upcountry way of life echoes a simpler time where food was locally-sourced and cooked over an open fire on the ranch. At Moku, we like to keep things simple and will serve Chef Peter Merriman’s twist on upcountry specials from our lively rotisserie oven.
