A Quite Retreat
Just 45 miles southwest of Fargo you'll find Jorgen's Hollow Campground. This campground is perfect for anyone who wants to do some primitive camping while surrounded by the Sheyenne National Grasslands. If you consider yourself an outdoorsman, this campground will have plenty to explore. There are trailheads located at the campground as well as plenty of public land hunting opportunities if you visit during the fall months.
Things to Know
There are 14 campsites here at Jorgen's Hollow. They do not accept reservations, so everything is first come first served basis. As you enter the grounds, there is a drop box to pay the $10 per night camping fee. Make sure you pay the fee immediately after arriving. There are no electric, water, or sewage hookups available. So, plan for a more primitive camping adventure. Each camping pad is 60 feet in length. These camping sites all have a picnic table and fire pit. You'll find a community hand water pump and restrooms which are accessible during the summer months. This campground limits your stay to a maximum of 14 nights.
Camping Recommendations
If you plan on spending a few nights at Jorgens Hollow there are a couple different rentals to choose from. Our smaller travel trailers would work perfect in this space. The Cherokee Wolf Pup would be our top recommendation. Keep in mind, there are no hookups here at Jorgens Hollow. So, unless you rent a generator you will not have power to your travel trailer. Looking to rough it? Pick up one of our 4 or 7 person tents.
